Man struck, killed by NJ Transit bus

Authorities say a New Jersey Transit bus struck and killed a man in Newark.

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office says 37-year-old Anthony Rivera was in the vicinity of Broad and Clinton Streets when he was hit on Wednesday night.

Rivera was pronounced dead at University Hospital.

No charges have been filed against the bus driver.
