Man killed in Claymont shooting

New Castle County Police are investigating a homicide at the Fieldcrest Apartments just before 10 p.m. Thursday.
Police were called to the area of the 700 block of Peachtree Rd. for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man lying on the ground. They started CPR and the victim was taken to Wilmington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
County police detectives are still conducting interviews and trying to figure out what happened. They say anyone with information on the incident should call New Castle County Police at 302-395-8110.
