Man killed by NJ Transit train in Atlantic County

A man has been struck and killed by a train in Galloway Township  and NJ Transit has temporarily suspended rail service between Philadelphia and Atlantic City.  

Transit spokesman John Durso Jr. says the man was struck around 11 p.m. Wednesday by a train north of the Genoa Avenue crossing.

There were no reports of injuries among the 40 people on the train. Bus service is being provided while transit police and the medical examiner’s office are investigating the incident.
