Local Pottstown businesses to help raise money for local nonprofits

Sometimes, it’s the local businesses that need help staying in business, but in the case of one Pottstown fundraiser, it’s the local businesses that are lending a hand to help someone else in need.

The Mercury reports local businesses are taking part in a rundraiser next Saturday aimed at helping two local nonprofits, which are in turn, promoting local buisinesses.

Organizers call the event “Books & Brushes, Beef & Beer.”  The plan is to raise money for both the Pottstown Regional Public Library and the Gallery School at Gallery on High.

The fundraiser is scheduled for August 13 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Ballroom on High at 310 High Street.  Tickets cost $20 per person.
