Kent Co. vets raising money for memorial

Vietnam veterans in Kent County are raising money for a memorial to honor Delaware Gold Star Mothers and Families from all conflicts.
The new memorial will be placed in Kent County Memorial Park near the Vietnam Memorial which is already in place.

The granite memorial will include a gold star and an inscription honoring the sacrifice made by families of fallen soldiers.   Kent Co. Chapter 850 of the Vietnam Veterans of America is now trying to raise funds to pay for the $9,500 memorial.  Those who donate $100 or more will have a named brick placed at the site.  They hope dedicate the memorial in November.
