Little Shop of Horrors, June 20th – 22nd

One slightly insane florist! Two star-crossed lovers!! Three musical female narrators!!! Four victims (and counting) of a monstrous plant with a taste for human flesh!!!! And, YOU!!!!! It all adds up to an oddly poignant, laugh filled, musical tour de force, spiced with homages to doo-wop, 60’s girl groups, “B’ horror movies, and Faust. You will be swallowed up by WDL’s madly entertaining version of Little Shop of Horrors! Wilmington Drama League.

 

Essentials of Plein Air Painting, June 23rd – 25th

Learn plein air techniques while enjoying the beauty of Mt. Cuba Center’s gardens. Each day, Jacalyn Beam will discuss and demonstrate different skill sets for painting with oils or watercolors. Whether you are a novice or an experienced artist, Jacalyn will help bring out the best in your work. Attend all five sessions or select individual days. Bring your lunch. Arts in the Park: Percussion World Duo, June 25th

Luis Garay’s dynamic percussion performance introduces listeners to the exciting and fascinating world of congos, djembes, bongos, balafones, shakers, and more! His hands-on style will have audience members jumping into the act, too! (Note: If it rains or if the heat index is 95 or higher, this program moves indoors to Kent County Public Library.)

  

Smyrna at Night Music Festival, June 26th

Join us for an exciting evening of music, food, and fun! It’s after 5 PM in Delaware and you’re wondering, “What’s there to do?” Smyrna At Night is your answer! Presented and organized by the Town of Smyrna, the Smyrna Downtown Renaissance Association, and Gable Music Ventures in association with Strongpoint Marketing, Smyrna At Night kicks off on Thursday, June 26 with a free, multi-venue music event that brings 14 musical acts to town in one night.

The Vallely Brothers Duo, June 21st

Cillian, uilleann piper for famed Irish band Lunasa, is joined by Niall who has reinvented the humble concertina. The Vallely’s learned their music as children from their parents in Northern Ireland and perform professionally around the globe. U.S. Navy Sea Chanters, June 25th

Bring your family, blanket or chairs to our free outdoor Summer Concert Series. Concerts are held on Wednesday evenings at 7 pm in the Milton Memorial Park in historic downtown Milton located on Chandler Street and the Broadkill River. Milton Memorial Park.
