Wilmington Trust Presents: Fireworks at Hagley

Join us for an evening of spectacular pyrotechnics at Hagley’s annual fireworks shows. This members-only event features fun for the whole family, with games, food, bounce-arounds, and activities for all ages followed by a pyrotechnic masterpiece that weaves together a story illustrated through music, narration, aerial shells, and intricate set pieces.  Hagley Museum and Library, June 10th and 17th 5 p.m.

WineScapes

Enjoy an evening of jazz, food and wine on the lawn of the Biggs Museum. Matt Hans from Wood Fired Pizza will prepare personalized pizzas for guests from his handmade imported Italian over, which sits quietly on the back of a 1956 Ford F250 flatbed. Gelato will be provided by Vitale’s. Ticket price includes personalized individual pie, 2 glasses of wine, gelato and a live jazz performance.  Biggs Museum of American Art, June 11th, 5 p.m.

 

 

U.S. Air Force Heritage Ramblers Dixie Group

Please join us for a FREE CONCERT! The Smyrna Opera House is proud to feature the United States Air Force Heritage Ramblers Dixie Group of the USAF Heritage of America Band.  This New Orleans style Dixie group performs patriotic and original music in the style of Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Jack Teagarden, and Bix Beiderbecke. Reservations are recommended.  Smyrna Opera House, Wednesday, June 15th, 7 p.m.

In a happy suburban neighborhood surrounded by white picket fences sits a black house with a dead lawn. Hidden beneath this home is the vast secret hideout of the evil mastermind, Gru. Surrounded by a small army of minions, Gru is planning the biggest heist in the history of the world; he is going to steal the moon. However, he needs a little human help to assist him in his nefarious plan, so Gru adopts three little girls from the orphanage.
