Come get up-close-and-personal with the state insect of Delaware, the ladybug. Come meet DCM’s own newborn ladybugs, hear fun ladybug stories, find out how they help gardeners and farmers, and discover what these spotted beetles are all about!  Delaware Children’s Museum, July 15th, 11 a.m.

Electric Youth!

This musical variety show features upbeat songs with positive messages, performed by 60 talented local kids. Energetic and interactive song and dance numbers address themes like teamwork, self esteem, and tolerance. Featuring popular songs such as Katy Perry’s “Firework,” Miley Cyrus’ “Hoedown Throwdown,” and High School Musical’s “We’re All in This Together,” and many others, Imagination Players will get kids on their feet singing and dancing along.  The Grand, July 21st, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

 

 

Children’s Storytelling with The Kinderman Show

The Kinderman Show is a highly interactive program of original call and response songs, chants, rhythms, movement games and storytelling that engages and enchants audiences from age two to age 100. Audience members who come as strangers will leave as friends once they experience Kinderman’s contagious energy!  The Freeman Stage at Bayside, July 16th, 10 a.m.

 

 

Young Frankenstein

This affectionate parody of classic horror movies stars Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman, and Peter Boyle as “the Monster”. When a young neurosurgeon (Wilder) inherits the castle of his grandfather, the infamous Dr. Victor von Frankenstein, he decides to visit his new property. Suddenly, the young doctor is inspired to continue his grandfather’s work, aided by the members of his new household. Will the grandson’s experiments produce the same disastrous results that ruined the life of the elder Dr. Frankenstein?  Lewes Canalfront Park, July 21st, 8:30 p.m.
