Welcome planner Andrew Altman back to Penn to discuss his planning projects across the globe, from Sao Paolo to Shanghai. Altman is a former Deputy Mayor for Economic Development and Planning for Philadelphia and was most recently master planner for the London Olympic Park. Free, advance registration required.
Talk: Enrique Norten, Principal/Founder of TEN Artquitectos
Wednesday, January 30, 6-7:30pm. Penn Design, Meyerson Hall, B3, 210 South 34th Street. Join architect Enrique Norten, founder and principal of Mexico City’s TEN Artquitectos, for a lecture and book sale. Throughout his decorated career Norten has practiced architecture and sustainable design, and served on juries, such as the World Trade Center Site Memorial Competition. Norten is currently a member of PennDesign’s architecture faculty, holding the Miller Chair. Free.
Talk: Superintendent William Hite: Educating Philadelphia’s Children and the Importance of Health Care
