With radar gun again in hand, NewsWorks set out for the streets of Northwest Philadelphia and beyond for a week in May to get a sense of just how fast people are driving out there.

If the results of our first radar effort last September were any indication, we expected the numbers would again surprise police.

Later this week, we will post a story about what we found after clocking an estimated 1,150 cars in 28 different locations throughout the area.

We paid special attention to school zones, the results of which Philadelphia Police have already expressed interest in seeing.

Guess their speeds

Today, we are sharing a video with 11 cars and asking you to guess how fast they are going.

The first two were on Lancaster Avenue at Woodcircle Drive, a 40-mph zone near Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood.

Cars three through six were recorded in a 35-mph zone along Kelly Drive between the Falls Bridge and Lincoln Drive in East Falls.

The final five were on Lincoln Drive at Gypsy Lane. There, you’re supposed to drive 25 miles per hour. (Spoiler alert: Nobody did.)

Please send in your best guesses via the comments section or email. We’ll share the correct answers on Thursday. Winner can choose a location in the area for radar attention when NewsWorks takes to the streets next.
