Hispanic Heritage Mass to take place today
Today, Hispanic Catholics will be joining together to celebrate both their heritage and diversity alongside many priests who serve in the Hispanic Apostolate throughout the Archdiocese, at Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
Archbishop Charles J. Chaput will be the main celebrant during the festivities.
The event will begin at 2 p.m. with a procession of national Papal and American flags, accompanied by banners depicting patron saints of Hispanic Heritage. The procession will be followed by Mass which is scheduled to being at 2:30 p.m.
Those who decided to participate in Mass are encouraged to dress in traditional clothing of their countries of origin.
