Headmaster of prestigious Delaware school under arrest on child porn charges

 An arrest warrant has been issued for former Tower Hill School headmaster Christopher Wheeler, who faces 25 counts of dealing in child pornography.

An arrest warrant has been issued for former Tower Hill School headmaster Christopher Wheeler, who faces 25 counts of dealing in child pornography.

Christopher Wheeler,  the former headmaster of Tower Hill School, is under arrest and charged with 25 counts of child pornography.

The announcement made by the Delaware Child Predator Task Force in connection with Attorney General Beau Biden’s office.

The arrest comes a week after Wheeler’s resignation from the school.  He had disappeared for several days with the AG’s office asking for information on Wheeler’s whereabouts.  He turned himself in at Delaware Troop 2 in Newark.  He’s being held in lieu of $1.5 million bail at the Howard Young Correctional Institution.

The 53-year-old’s Wilmington home and office located on the private school’s campus were searched last week as part of a joint criminal investigation by Delaware’s Dept. of Justice and the Wilmington Police Dept.

Last week, the school’s board of trustees named Harry Baetjer as the acting head of the school.
