Great kite festival underway

Go fly a kite… that’s what plenty of people will be doing today in Lewes as part of the 44th annual Great Delaware Kite Festival at Cape Henlopen State Park.

Hundreds of kites will be soaring in the blue skies over Lewes starting at 9 a.m.  The event includes contests for most creative kites, best choreographed routine and highest flying kite.  The festival is free, but there is a fee to get into the park.
