Grass planting at the beach this weekend

Volunteers will help state environmental officials plant beach grass at public beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and Delaware Bay.

Since 1990, volunteers have planted grass designed to stabilize the state’s sand dunes every spring.  More than 5 million stems of Cape American beach grass have been planted along the ocean and bay.
