NW Philly blog creates list for school open houses

One of the biggest factors shaping life in Chestnut Hill and Mt. Airy is the abundance of private schools in the area. Although there is a District City Council election underway, you are more likely to see signs of school open houses.

Germantown Avenue Parents, a blog for parents in Mt. Airy and Chestnut Hill, has taken the heroic task of creating a master list of both public and private school open houses. This is a great time to be able to go inside the schools and talk with the administrators to see if it’s right for your children.

Private schools charge anywhere from $7000-$25,000 a year per student.
