The Friends of Race Street Pier meeting notes 3/13/12

The Friends of Race Street Pier met on Tuesday, March 13th to discuss programming on the pier for spring/summer 2012.  The notes from the meeting are attached.  The Friends of Race Street Pier are happy to report that they have received a grant from the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) to plan two Park After Dark events!  Thanks to this PHS funding, the friends group will be hosting two First Friday celebrations on the pier – mark your calendars for July 6th and September 7th.

The Friends group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at the DRWC offices located at 121 N. Columbus Boulevard.  At the April 10th meeting, the group will begin planning the First Friday events.  Do you have ideas for fun activities that you would like to share with the group? If so, be sure to attend the April 10th meeting.  The April 10th meeting will start at 6:00.  We will meet on the pier and learn about the maintenance of the planting beds.  We will then head inside to begin planning the First Friday celebrations.

All are welcome to attend the Friends of Race Street Pier monthly meeting.
