Friday marks last day of Route 134 service in NW Philly

Friday marked the final day of service for SEPTA’s Route 134, a bus that connected Chestnut Hill to Montgomery County for nearly 20 years.

According to the SETPA website, low ridership and a loss of external funding led to the decision to permanently discontinue the line.

Riders who used Route 134 can now use Route 94 service as an alternate.

The proposal to discontinue Route 134 was considered in March, when SEPTA held a public hearing to discuss the proposed change.
