Former Philadelphia schools CEO Vallas takes short-term gig in Connecticut

    Remember Paul Vallas?

It’s not so easy to recall a time when Arlene Ackerman wasn’t the big name in Philadelphia schools, but it wasn’t too long ago that Vallas was CEO. He also spent time in Chicago and New Orleans.

The three high school-district has an $8 million budget shortfall and low test scores, and Vallas has stepped in as the interim superintendent.
