First phase of Auburn Heights Trail opens in Yorklyn, Delaware

The initial phase of a new recreational trail in northern Delaware is being dedicated today.

The Auburn Heights Trail in Yorklyn is part of the Auburn Heights Master Plan, to provide new recreational and cultural opportunities for a former industrial property.  Governor Markell, Delaware Natural Resources Secretary Collin O’Mara and local lawmakers are celebrating the occasion today.  The trail is part of a state initiative to provide more opportunities for Delawareans to enjoy hiking, bicycling and other forms of outdoor exercise.
