Excessive weekend heat watch in place for parts of N.J.

Forecasters say there could be dangerous heat in parts of New Jersey over the weekend.

The National Weather Service has placed Camden, Gloucester, Mercer and part of Burlington Counties under an excessive heat watch from Saturday morning through Sunday evening.

Temperatures are expected to be in the 90s, along with high humidity. Officials say residents should stay out of the sun, drink plenty of water and check up on neighbors and relatives.

Forecasts for the rest of New Jersey are also expected to be nearly high.
