EMAN to host Christmas Tree recyling event

With the holiday season officially over, East Mt. Airy Neighbors is providing residents with a sustainable way of getting rid of their now useless Christmas Trees.

On Jan. 6, the civic will host a Tree-Cycling event at Gabbie’s Community Garden, located at the corner of Chew and E. Mt. Airy avenues. During the event, to be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., your evergreen or spruce will be reduced to wood chips.

The city does not recycle trees left on the curb.

EMAN is asking that participants donate $5 and leave all decorations at home.
