DRWC cancels Thursday monthly meeting; Announces two November public presentations.

The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) has cancelled its scheduled meeting for Thursday (Nov. 5), the organization announced Tuesday morning.

Instead, the DRWC said Mayor Michael Nutter and the group’s board of directors will hold “two exciting public meetings regarding future riverfront planning and development.”

The first is Nov. 10, when the five finalists for the Central Delaware Riverfront Master Plan will be introduced.

The second will be Nov. 18, when the Pier 11 designer, Field Operations, will present initial design schemes for the finger pier. Some of the company’s landscape architects will be on hand for public feedback.

Both meetings are from 6:30 to 8;30 p.m., and will be held on Festival Pier, located on Columbus Boulevard at Spring Garden Street, where there is usually an abundance of free parking.

The DRWC said it is holding the meetings in partnership with the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society and PennPraxis.
