Downstate Delaware could get the worst of predicted snowfall today

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 2 p.m today through 4 a.m. Friday for southern Delaware.  The National Weather Service says Sussex County could see three to five inches of snow.  The storm will start as rain this afternoon, then gradually mix in with snow by evening before tapering off after midnight.  NWS warns that roads and walkways will be covered with wet snow.  Forecasters say there is the potential for isolated power outages and dangerous freezing of standing water or slush on Friday morning.
