Dog of the Week: Ralphie
Sweet senior alert! This debonair guy is named Ralphie (A15836210). Ralphie is a handsome white and tan pit bull mix who was found as a stray and it appears as though he’s been on the streets for some time now.
He’s very thin and was pretty dirty upon entering the shelter. He’s estimated to be around 10 years old and has great energy for an older boy! Despite being a bit underweight, he appears to be in good health.
Though we’re not sure of Ralphie’s past, what we do know is that he is one sweet boy! He adores attention and has great manners. He loves to rub against you and will look up at you until you pet him. Ralphie has an endearing personality and has some sweet moves – he does the beetle dance! He loves to roll around on his back, especially in the grass outside of the shelter.
Ralphie has no issues with basic or advanced handling and no issues with food. He showed mild interest in the cats here at the shelter, but nothing alarming. He can certainly be re-tested before going home with any. Ralphie was friendly, appropriate and wiggled around when he met other dogs here at the shelter. Please bring your resident dogs down to meet him.
Ralphie can’t wait to be back in a home where he can gain some weight and focus all of his love on his new family. Please consider giving this sweet, older boy a chance! Interested in what it’s like to adopt a senior dog?
