Discount rain barrels available
As part of an effort to encourage water conservation, the state is offering large rain barrels to residents at a greatly reduced price.
The large barrels usually go for $120 or more, but because the state Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control can buy the barrels in bulk, they can get them for less, and sell them back to the public for less. DNREC’s Nonpoint Source Program will sell the barrels in late May for $66.
