Dinosaurium opens in the Granite Run Mall

Perhaps the strangest thing to come to a mall since Franklin Mills debuted its giant time-announcing Ben Franklin head, Dino Don’s Dinosaurium opened this weekend in the Granite Run Mall.

Saturday was the exhibit’s big debut inside former retail space, and the interactive museum will be there through Spring. Ticket prices, promised to be “very inexpensive” when NewsWorks talked to mall marketing director Aubrey Proud in June, range from $4 to $8. Kids 2 and under are free.

Led by Jurassic Park adviser Don Lessem, the museum boasts several interactive exhibits geared mostly toward kids. Media Patch reports current features include motion sensor-activated dino poop that emits a mulch-like smell, a fossil dig and a dino hunt that involves Nerf guns.
