Delmar micro-brewer may head to Maryland

A Delmar microbrewery has out grown its Sussex County beginnings and may head over the border to Salisbury, Md.

Evolution Craft Brewing Company is only 2 years old.  But delmarvanow.com reports a Maryland state senator wants to change state laws on liquor licenses so Evolution can move to an abandoned ice plant in Salisbury.

Tom Knorr says his plant is operating at full capacity at their Delaware site and needs to move to larger facilities.

Debate on the bill that would allow the liquor changes begins March 11.  The on line news site reports once the changes are made the brewer will go ahead with his expansion plans.
