Delmar dedicates new wastewater treatment facility

Delmar’s new state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility is being officially dedicated today.

The plant was sorely in need of modernization.  A combination of federal grants and money from the state and local governments made the project possible.  According to Senator Tom Carper’s office, the wastewater treatment facility was transformed from an outdated plant to an innovative, effective wastewater treatment plant that protects the health and safety of the local community and provides significant clean water benefits for the Chesapeake Bay Watershed.”  The ceremony takes place today at  30055 Connelly Mill Road, Delmar.
