Rep. DeLissio to host campaign fundraiser in Roxborough

As the Pennsylvania primary approaches, State Representative Pamela DeLissio is preparing for her first round of campaign fundraisers to secure her seat in the 194th Legislative District.

The district, which covers portions of Montgomery and Philadelphia counties, includes the Roxborough and Manayunk neighborhoods. Her first campaign event will be held on March 21 at Coyle’s Cafe in Roxborough.

“One of my commitments over the past 15 months has been to ‘drive business locally’ and this is a great way to continue that effort,” said DeLissio in a press release.

During the fundraiser, guests will get a chance to hear Rep. DeLissio speak about the issues she will focus on in her campaign, which include lifelong education, economic growth and revenue generation, and government reform. DeLissio says guests will also be able to discuss some of their own legislative concerns.

“[The event] gives the everyday person an opportunity to feel that they can participate,” said DeLissio.

DeLissio said all of the proceeds will go towards her campaign for re-election in Pennsylvania’s 194th Legislative District. She says she’ll have two other fundraisers at local businesses before the primary on April 24.

The campaign event will be held on March 21 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Coyle’s Cafe on Ridge Avenue in Roxborough. Tickets, which are $15, include a glass of wine or draft beer and Coyle’s French fries.
