Delaware River City Corporation announces ribbon cutting for Lardner’s Point Park

Lardner’s Point Park is a part of the scenic 11 mile Delaware Riverfront Greenway that DRCC, in concert with the City of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, is developing. The construction of the park is funded in part by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration,  the National Wildlife Fund, the Garden Club and the City of Philadelphia. We are thrilled to complete this trailhead park, which is an important milestone in the transformation of our Delaware Riverfront.  Speaking at the event will be Mayor Michael Nutter, Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz, and Councilman Bobby Henon, Deputy Mayor for Environmental and Community Resources and Commissioner of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Michael DeBerardinis, and a representative from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and other funders.
