Delaware receives donation from sculptor Charles Parks’ foundation

The foundation of sculptor Charles Parks will announce a major contribution to the State of Delaware today.

More than 500 sculptures have been created by Parks.  They are located at plazas and public parks throughout the country, as well as held by individuals.  His subjects included former presidents as well as adults and children from all walks of life.  Parks moved to Delaware from Virginia as a young boy and attended the University of Delaware as well as the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia.  Parks and his wife, Inge, will join Governor Jack Markell today to discuss a donation to the state from a foundation that was established to preserve Parks’ works.  CLICK HERE for more about Charles Parks.
