Delaware police academy holds graduation ceremony tonight

New Castle County’s 36th Police Academy will graduate 25 recruits tonight.

The recruits underwent seven months of training in the physical, academic and stress challenges of law enforcement.  In addition to 20 graduates from the New Castle County Police Department, recruits will be joining the Middletown, University of Delaware, Dewey Beach and Felton Police departments as well as the Dover Fire Marshal’s Office.  The public is invited to watch them get their badges tonight at 7:00 p.m. at William Penn High School on Basin Road in the New Castle area.
