Delaware parks offer activities on MLK holiday

Delaware state park officials are encouraging residents to mark the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with a day of service.

Officials are inviting Delawareans to visit Alapocas Run State Park or Bellevue State Park on Monday and participate in service activities such as trail maintenance and invasive plant removal.

Monday’s offerings at other state parks include a Campfire Cooking Day Camp at Killens Pond State Park Nature Center, and a Families in Nature program at White Clay Creek park.
