Police investigate shooting death of Delaware cafe owner at his Pennsylvania home

The owner of a Wilmington, Del., nightclub has been found shot to death at his home in Avondale, Pa.

According to investigators, 67-year-old Isaias Rivera was shot during an apparent robbery attempt shortly after he arrived home early Sunday morning.  It’s believed Rivera returned home at about 2:00 a.m. Sunday after working at the Carribbean Cafe on Maryland Avenue in Wilmington, which he owned.  It was not until after 9:00 a.m. when police received a report about a bleeding man lying on the ground.  Anyone with information on Rivera’s killing is asked to call Pennsylvania State Police at Avondale at 1-610-268-2022.
