Delaware mother still missing after children found in Indiana
Delaware State Police continue to search for a missing Kent County mother.
According to police, 35-year-old Keisha Hamilton was last seen at her Smyrna home around 10 p.m. Friday night.
When Hamilton could not be located on Saturday, authorities issued an Amber Alert for the woman and her two children, 4-year-old Colette Hamilton and 2-month-old Cortez Hamilton.
The children were found with their father, Cortez Hamilton Sr., in Indiana on Saturday night. The children were unharmed and are being cared for by the Indiana Division of Family Services.
Cortez Hamilton Sr. was arrested on fugitive charges and is awaiting extradition to Delaware. He faces assault and child endangerment charges.
A Gold Alert has been issued for Keisha Hamilton who is described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Police said there is “a real concern for her safety and welfare.”
