Delaware Italian Festival is underway highlighting tastes and traditions of Sicily

Wilmington’s Little Italy neighborhood welcomes all to Saint Anthony’s Italian Festival, which continues through this coming Sunday.

The 2012 festival pays a special tribute to Sicily, featuring cuisine from the vibrant island as well as spectular garden displays and other cultural attractions.  A wide variety of Italian delicacies is also available, while musical entertainment will be offered at four different stages.  Of course there is the traditional carnival midway.  The festival runs 5:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. weeknights, 2:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Saturday, and 2:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Sunday June 17th.  Admission is $5.  Free parking and shuttle service to the festival will be available from Salesianum School.
