Delaware hearings focus on regulatory review

Does Delaware have some regulations that should be modified or eliminated?  A series of hearings on that issue is underway.

Sessions are being held in all three counties this month focusing on five state agencies.  Tonight, comments will be received concerning the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.at the University of Delaware Carvel Research and Education Center, 16483 County Seat Highway, Georgetown.  The Delaware Economic Development Office, Department of Finance and Department of Education are also being reviewed, as is the Department of Agriculture.  Meetings shift to Kent County the week of August 13th, and New Castle County the week of August 20th.  The hearings were scheduled under an executive order signed by Governor Jack Markell to identify regulations adopted three years ago or more for possible changes or elimination.
