Delaware Governor highlights volunteer opportunities following Hurricane Irene

If you were fortunate enough to get through Hurricane Irene without any damage, Governor Markell says this would be a good opportunity to help others in need.

The Governor said Tuesday there are volunteer opportunities in Delaware with several organizations that are assisting people affected by the storm.  They include the Red Cross, the Salvation Army, Delaware Citizen Corps and many more.  Organizations that are in need of volunteers may also get the word out through the state’s web site.
