Delaware Governor authorizes two new roadside memorials

Governor Jack Markell is signing legislation that will establish roadside memorials to two public servants who were killed in the line of duty.

Paramedic Stephanie Callaway was killed during an ambulance crash in Sussex County in 2008.  Delaware City Fire Company worker Michelle Smith was struck and killed while treating an injured motorcyclist along Route 13 near New Castle Airport in December 2008.  The legislation also authorizes other memorials for emergency responders who lose their lives while serving their communities.
