Delaware gas prices rise by four-cents per gallon in one week

Drivers in Delaware are now paying an average of $3.41 a gallon to fill the gas tank.

The price went up by four-cents over the past week, and it was the second week in a row that prices increased at the pumps.  The upward trend follows several weeks of declining prices since late summer.

AAA Mid-Atlantic Public Affairs Specialist Jana Tidwell says  economic fears, nationally and internationally, have fueled the recent rise in crude oil prices, which ultimately leads to gas price increases.  Gas prices could buck typical downward seasonal trends with an autumn and early winter upswing, rather than previously forecast declines.”
