Delaware education initiatives get the spotlight at a UD conference

The Rodel Foundation’s Vision 2015 school initiative and Delaware’s progress in meeting Race to the Top initiatives will be explored at a conference today.

The fourth annual knowledge-based partnership conference is taking place at the University of Delaware in Newark.  Delaware was one of two states chosen in the initial round of the federal government’s Race to the Top program, which came with an allocation of $119-million.  The Roden Foundation says today’s event includes educators, policy-makers and business and community leaders, and will explore “where Delaware sits on the path to first-class schools, reviewing progress and obstacles alike, and what we need to do to ensure an excellent education for each and every public school student in Delaware.”  Registraiton was required for the conference.  CLICK HERE to find out more.
