Delaware cleaners protest at M & T Bank

Union cleaners protested in front of the M&T Bank headquarters in downtown Wilmington over what they say are low wages.

Members of 32BJ of the Service Employees International Union rallied in front of the building on Rodney Square this afternoon to protest.  They say some employees of Optima Cleaning Systems were wrongly fired from their jobs when Optima took over responsibility for cleaning the building.

The union workers say Optima pays some workers $7.50 per hour, which they say is below the industry standard.
