Delaware budget unveiled

Governor Markell will unveil his spending plan for FY 2014 during a speech in Dover this afternoon.  Markell’s budget is expected to address a series of tax increases that are scheduled to expire this year.  The increases in personal income tax, gross receipts tax, corporate franchise tax and estate tax were implemented in 2009 to help the state plug a major hole in the state budget during the heart of the economic downturn.
