Delaware Attorney General’s office hosts seminar on identity theft prevention

Southern Delawareans interested in learning more about identity theft and ways to prevent it are welcome to attend a seminar tonight in Georgetown.

The Delaware Attorney General’s office is hosting the program which begins at 6:00 p.m. at the Delaware Technical and Community College Owens Campus on Route 18.  Staff from the AG’s Consumer Protection Unit, the US Postal Inspector’s Service and the Department of Homeland Security will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.  Attorney General Beau Biden said the seminar is designed to provide Delawareans with the tools they can use to protect themselves and to share information about resources available to them if they’ve been targeted by a scam or identity theft.  For more information call the Consumer Protection Unit at 1-800-220-5424.
