Delaware announces openings from the snow

Both the city of Wilmington and the state of Delaware issued news releases this morning saying they were open for business because our threatened snow storm didn’t show.

That was the story in the First State.  A look at the snow totals from delawareonline.com showed the highest snow total was near the Blackbird State Forrest.  That was from yesterday.

Our NewsWorks correspondent, Chuck Snyder got out around the Delaware beaches. There’s nothing like a dusting of snow in Rehoboth.  Even though the winds are a little rough from the outer fringes of the storm.

What a difference a few miles makes.  If we were writing this story in Massachusetts we’d be talking about people looking out the window and watching giant snow drifts.  In case you are checking there, the midday temperature is 25 with a windchill of 1 degree.
