Dance on the Falls Bridge postponed due to weather

The threat of weekend thunderstorms has caused the East Falls Development Corporation (EFDC) to postpone its 2012 Dance on the Falls Bridge originally scheduled for tomorrow night. The dance will be held next Saturday, Sept. 15, from 8 p.m. until midnight.

EFDC’s Executive Director, Gina Snyder said that the Crowne Plaza West Hotel on City Avenue will only honor the special discount deal and shuttle transportation with those who had made reservations at the hotel for this weekend. The deal and shuttle service will not apply to new reservations for next weekend.

The lucky lady who has been selected to receive a makeover as part of the evening’s festivities will also have her special beauty transformation rescheduled, confirmed Tia Ellis, owner of Couture At Your Door. The boutique is sponsoring the makeover, which will include a new outfit, hair style, makeup and manicure. Andi Adams was announced as the chosen winner this week, having received the most votes in a Facebook contest.
