100 block E. Bells Mil Road – an estimated $3500 worth of jewelry was stolen from the property sometime between 12-3 p.m. Complaiant said her cleaning lady noticed an unoccupied car running in the driveway when she arrived. After calling the police, the witness did a quick scan of the house and noticed a jewelry box missing.

April 27, 2011

5900 block Carswell St. – complainant said an acquaintance stole her Cricket cell phone and debit card. Complainant said the offender used her debit card to withdraw more than $600 from her bank account.

5600 block Crowson St. – water meter, copper pipes and two chairs stolen from the property. The property’s landlord said someone broke in through the rear. There were no signs of a forced entry.

500 block E. Ashmead St. – 32″ flat screen TV, diamond bracelet and a Dell laptop stolen. There were no signs of a forced entry.

500 block E. Tulpehocken St. – 32″ TV and miscellaneous items. Complainant said while inside the property an acquaintance entered through a side door and took the items.

5100 block Wakefield St. – 42″ Phillips flat screen TV and an X-Box with Kinect stolen from the property between 8-11:50 p.m. April 25.

5600 block Germantown Ave. – Garmin GPS was stolen from an Utz Quality Food truck. An Utz employee said he noticed the item missing after returning from a delivery at Walgreens.

200 block W. Pastorius St. – sledgehammer, rake, pruning shears and vise grips stolen from the property, but later recovered. A witness saw someone enter his neighbor’s yard and take the items. Offender was later positively identified and arrested.

8300 block Thouron Ave. – safe containing watches, Phillies tickets, $12,000 and jewelry was stolen from the property. Complainant said someone broke in between 10:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m April 27.

8300 block Gilbert St. – 2011 Nissan Pathfinder stolen. Complainant said he rented the car from Hertz with the offender for three days. The offender has yet to return to the car that due back to the company April 19.

8700 block Prospect Ave. – flat screen TV stolen from the property. There were no signs of a forced entry. Complainant said her son lives at the location and has access to everything inside.

Unit block E. Mt. Pleasant Ave. – Mongoose Beach Cruiser bike stolen from the property’s porch.

8200 block Ardleigh St. – iPod and keys stolen from while complainant was playing basketball.

8000 block Mansfield Ave. – 2009 Chevy Impala stolen between 6 p.m. April 26 and 7 a.m. April 27.

 

April 28, 2011

7800 block Thouron Ave. – complainant said someone tried to mug him while holding a gun. Complainant said a man approached him from behind shortly after he stepped off the bus. He said the offender fled after he struck him in the head with an umbrella.

900 block E. Johnson St. – car radio, iPod, GPS system stolen from a 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis. Complainant said someone broke her driver side window and took the items.

4900 block Baynton St. – 2000 Ford F150 stolen.

300 block E. Upsal St. – complainant said two men followed him and told him to give up his money. One of the offenders pointed something through his sweatshirt at the complainant. The second offender went through the complainant’s pockets. Complainant then pushed the second offender away and ran for his front door. Complainant later chased the offender. That male fired something from outside of his hooded sweatshirt.

200 block W. Walnut Lane – 42″ Samsung TV, Sony Playstation, two watches, an HP laptop, two cameras and more stolen from the property. Complainant said he locked his apartment door before leaving for work. When he came home, his front door was open and the items were missing. The apartment building requires a security code to enter.

8100 block Temple Road – iPod and sneakers stolen from a car between 6 p.m April 27 and 7:30 a.m. April 28.

 

April 29, 2011

6600 block Blakemore St. – 1996 Ford Explorer stolen sometime between 5-7:45 p.m. April 29.

1900 block 73rd Ave. – complainant said a man robbed him at gunpoint while walking at the location. Offender ran off with an iPhone 4 and $1,000.

2100 block Stenton Ave. – 2007 Kia Entourage stolen sometime between 6:30 a.m. and 3:20 p.m. April 29.

700 block E. Upsal St. – various tools stolen from the location. Complainant said the items were taken after he left them outside.

6200 block Germantown Ave. – complainant said someone took some items from her storage unit at the location. She said a Playstation 3, Xbox 360, flat screen TV and some video games were missing.

100 block E. Bells Mil Road – an estimated $3500 worth of jewelry was stolen from the property sometime between 12-3 p.m. Complaiant said her cleaning lady noticed an unoccupied car running in the driveway when she arrived. After calling the police, the witness did a quick scan of the house and noticed a jewelry box missing.

8000 block Winston Road – complainant said someone stole a package containing camera equipment from the location.

 

April 30, 2011

7900 block Pickering Ave. – complainant said he was shot twice in the upper right side of the back while sitting in the driver seat of his car. He was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

1900 block Plymouth St. – 2010 Chrysler Sebring stolen.

7600 block Thouron Ave. – complainant said someone stole her central air conditioning unit from outside of her home. The manager of the location was a witness.

7800 block Crittenden St. – 1998 Volvo V70 stolen from a visitor’s parking lot. The lot’s towing company does not have the car.

 

May 1, 2011

5300 block Chew Ave. – complainant said someone stole 10 SEPTA transpasses from the customer service counter while she was picking up papers she had dropped on the floor. Police obtained a video copy of the incident.

E. Phil-Ellena St. / Lowber Ave. – complainant said someone stabbed him in the chest as he was walking to a friend’s car after leaving a nearby barbeque.

7800 block Temple Road – complainant said someone riding in the passenger seat of a car grabbed her arm while she was walking down the street. The offender did not let go until the car’s driver struck two parked cars. The complainant fell to the ground and went to the hospital for pain in her back, legs and head.

Vernon Road/Ardleigh St. – complainant said he was robbed at gunpoint. Complainant said he was selling the newspapers at the location when a driver pulled up to him and told him to hand over all of his money. Offender drove off with about $250.

300 block E. High St. – complainant said an acquaintance pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him if he talked to his girlfriend again. The offender had left the location after his group lost a rap battle. He then returned with the gun.

 

May 2, 2011

6400 block Crittenden St. – a teacher at the location said he saw a student setting a fire inside his book bag with a lighter. The complainant was able to extinguish the fire. The student was arrested. A fire marshal deemed ruled the incident arson.

800 block E. Stafford St. – cell phone, four Xbox games, sneakers and $100 stolen from the property. Complainant said he had a friend staying with him. When he awoke May 2, she and items were gone.

700 block Vernon Road – front grill and emblem stolen from a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix.

7700 block Thouron Ave. – 2004 Nissan Maxima stolen sometime between April 26 and May 2.

7500 block Thouron Ave. – 1999 Toyota Avalon stolen between 8 p.m. April 30 and 11 a.m. May 1.

Morton St. / E. Walnut Lane – complainant said a group of men approached him while he was delivering food at the location and stole a pizza, $4 and a set of keys. The keys were recovered at the scene.

100 block Mayland St. – complainant said someone stole her gun from the property between 4-6 p.m. May 2. There were no signs of a forced entry.

 

May 3, 2011

6300 block E. Wister St. – complainant said that someone robbed him at gunpoint. Offender ran off a gym bag and various IDs and a bank card.

1000 block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said four men attacked him. He said one offender pointed a black handgun at him while the other three punched him in the face. Nothing was taken. One of the offenders was arrested.

6700 block Cornelius St. – two TVs, two laptops and an Xbox 360 were stolen from the property.

700 block Church Lane – 1995 Mercury Sable stolen.
