7000 block Germantown Ave. – a SEPTA Route 23 bus driver said three men punched and kicked him after he booted the group from the bus. Complainant said he made the offenders exit the bus after they got on without paying. He said the offenders then threw juice at him. The offenders attacked the driver when he got off the bus. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

May 18, 2011

1300 block Narragansett St. – complainant said two men approached him at the location and robbed him at gunpoint. Complainant said one offender rifled through his pockets. The other stole his car, which was later recovered nearby. Offenders fled with $200 and various credit cards. They second offender drove off in a 1976 Chevy Impala.

7800 block Baldwin St. – jewelry and a spare set of keys stolen from the property. Complainant said her daughter had the offender over while she was away at work.

1100 block Dorset St. – cell phone, $200 and a wallet containing two bankcards and drivers license were stolen from a 2008 Acura TL between 1:45-2 p.m. May 18. Complainant said he was unsure if the car was locked at the time.

1200 block E. Upsal St. – complainant suffered a minor gunshot graze wound during a fight with an acquaintance. Complaint went to the hospital for his wound.

5300 block Chew Ave. – complainant said someone grabbed her iPhone from her hand as she was getting off the bus. When she returned from following the offender, her schoolbag containing college textbooks was gone.

5500 block Lena St. – tools stolen from the property 7 p.m. May 17 and 7:30 a.m. May 18. Items were taken from John Philips studio.

Unit block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said someone grabbed his cell phone from his hand while he was at the location. The offenders then fled the scene.

Unit block E. Johnson St. – 50 feet of copper pipe stolen from the property between 7 p.m. May 17 and 9 a.m. May 18.

100 block W. Chelten Ave. – complainant said someone stole his Apple iPhone from the counter while he was working at the AZ Budget Store. He said the incident occurred sometime between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. May 18.

7200 block Sprague St. – complainant said someone stole a UPS package from his front steps. The delivery contained a vacuum cleaner.

7800 block Germantown Ave. – Android cell phone stolen from an unlocked 1998 Lexus ES3 parked inside a McDonald’s parking lot.

 

May 19, 2011

7100 block Stenton Ave. – 200 feet of copper pipe stolen from the property between 4 p.m. May 11 and 7 a.m. May 12. Complainant said items were taken from an unlocked storage locker at a construction site.

7100 block Temple Road – complainant said his father beat him repeatedly with an extension cord after becoming upset over his behavior at school. Complainant was able to escape the house and flag down police. His father chased his son and was arrested.

Unit block E. Armat St. – Complainant said an acquaintance stole his Metro Android cell phone and fled the scene after he let the offender borrow the phone.

5200 block Rubicam St. – Complainant said her son struck her in the head with a trash can and punched her in the face during a fight. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

Unit block E. Chelten Ave. – 1999 Mercedes ML430 stolen between 5-10:30 p.m. May 19.

5800 block Green St. – complainant said someone stole $1180 and an unemployment card between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. May 19. He said his landlord had workers inside the apartment during that time.

 

May 20, 2011

1800 block Dallas St. – 47″ Toshiba TV and a 27″ Toshiba TV were stolen from the property between 9-11:30 a.m. May 20. There were no signs of a forced entry.

2300 block 76th Ave. – 1997 Chevy Tahoe stolen.

7300 block N. 19th St. – four tires and rims stolen from a 2008 Cadillac Escalade between 9 a.m. May 19 and 6 a.m. May 20.

1300 block Haines St. – various tools stolen from a 1998 Ford Explorer between 9 p.m. May 19 and 6:30 a.m. May 20.

100 block W. Chelten Ave. – store security at Pathmark arrested a shoplifter. The man was caught with a number of items including two makeup kits, a soap kit and two containers of gel.

7300 block Elbow Lane – complainant said someone stole two firearms from her garage. She said she hadn’t seen the items in three years, but noticed they were missing May 20.

Unit block W. Penn St. – racing bike and a mountain bike stolen from the property between 4:30 p.m. May 18 and 8:30 a.m. May 20.

7600 block Stenton Ave. – GPS, DeWalt cordless drill, radar detector, diagnostic tools, sunglasses, assorted tools and a laptop stolen from 2011 Ford. Complainant said the car was a company vehicle.

8600 block Bayard St. – complainant said a man approached him and two friends while at the back of the location, and shot at them after engaging them in a brief conversation. Offender fled in an unknown direction.

 

May 21, 2011

800 block E. Chelten Ave. – cell phone, iPod, Igloo cooler and a wallet were stolen from a work truck sometime around 9:30 a.m. May 21.

7500 block Thouron Ave. – 1991 BMW 850i stolen. Complainant said the car has been parked at the location since 2007 and that he periodically checks on it. He said he last saw the vehicle May 11.

300 block Vernon Road – complainant was shot in the stomach at the location. He said an offender approached him and asked him his name. When he replied, the man shot him and fled the scene. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

Unit block E. Upsal St. – complainant said someone approached him from behind, struck him in the head with an unknown object and robbed him. Complainant was knocked unconscious. When he came to, he noticed his cell phone, bank card, Access card, SS card state ID and $15 were missing.

 

May 22, 2011

1300 block E. Johnson St. – complainant said his ex-girlfriend and three friends forced their way into his apartment, assaulted him and took a diamond ring. Complainant he had broken up with his girlfriend that morning.

500 block Herman St. – complainant said an acquaintance robbed him at knife point inside his home. He said the offender was staying with him, but left after the incident. The offender ran off with a cell phone and $100.

300 block E. Tulpehocken St. – Playstion, Magnavox surround sound system, electric sanders, Xbox, Xbox games and clothing stolen from the property. Complainat said the items were taken between 5:30 p.m. May 20 and 9 p.m. May 22.

 

May 23, 2011

7100 block Stenton Ave. – two gas demo saws, four 12′ Dura walls and two 8′ Dura walls stolen from a construction site for the West Oak Lane Charter School. Complainant said the site was locked before the incident.

6300 block Crittenden St. – iPod, detachable radio face and $10 stolen from a 2001 Chevy Malibu.

1300 block E. Johnson St. – complainant said an acquaintance hit him in the arm with a shovel following a verbal dispute. Complainant was taken to the hospital. Offender was gone when police arrived.

7500 block Thouron Ave. – Dell laptop, 37″ Vizio flat screen TV, jewelry and a surge protector stolen from the property

7500 block Thouron Ave. – Rolex watch and a 48″ Panasonic flat screen TV stolen from the property between 2:45-3:45 p.m. May 23. Complainant said someone kicked in the apartment building’s main door and his individual apartment door.

200 block Shedaker St. – complainant said his girlfriend hit him in the head with an iron during a dispute. Offender was gone before police arrived. Complainant refused to go to the hospital.

5200 block Wakefield St. – clothing, handbags and jewelry stolen from the property.

300 block E. Wister St. – two large containers , 42″ Visio TV, laptop, iPod, Blue-Ray system, jewelry and clothing stolen from the property. There were no signs of a forced entry.

6300 block Ambrose St. – a delivery driver for Golden Crust Pizza said a customer pulled out a gun when he arrived at the location. Complainant said he threw the food in the offenders face and fled the scene.

Germantown Ave. / W. Allens Lane – complainant said someone punched him in the face and asked him for money in the WaWa parking lot. The offender fled the scene after a car pulled up. Nothing was taken.

8600 block Temple Road – complainant said he arrived at his girlfriend’s house to find two armed strangers inside. Complainant then jumped out of a kitchen window. The property was ransacked. It’s not clear what was taken.

Unit block E. Willow Grove Ave. – iPod stolen from a 2003 Volkswagen GTI.

 

May 24, 2011

1100 E. Upsal St. – complainant said someone stole a check worth $754, SS card and PA ID from her property between May 23 and 10 p.m. May 24.

Unit block E. Chelten Ave. – complainant said two men stole her cell phone and wrist bag outside of a McDonalds and the location. Complainant ran after the offenders, but was unable to catch them.

500 block E. Chelten Ave. – $600, $400 British Pounds and $200 Euros taken from the property. Complainant said a man entered the church and was seen on camera walking around the building. Several days later, complainant said he found the money missing from a briefcase in his second floor office.

6600 block Ross St. – complainant said he shot in the right arm with a pellet gun. He said he confronted the offender, who told him he mistakenly shot him. The offender was later arrested.

7000 block Germantown Ave. – a SEPTA Route 23 bus driver said three men punched and kicked him after he booted the group from the bus. Complainant said he made the offenders exit the bus after they got on without paying. He said the offenders then threw juice at him. The offenders attacked the driver when he got off the bus. Complainant was taken to the hospital.

500 block W. Ellet St. – two cameras, two flip video cameras, Mac laptop, scooter, jewelry and a wallet with IDs were stolen from the property. Complainant said she noticed the items were missing after returning from a jog.
