Crayola Experience hopes renovations set new tone

What color does Crayola pick for blueprints?

The iconic crayon maker hopes renovations will help boost attendance at its Crayola Experience tourist attraction.

Easton, Pa.-based Crayola says the timeline isn’t finalized but it plans to reopen by late spring in time for prime tourist season. Company officials say they’ll close the attraction for two other three months next year to freshen it up.

The Crayola Experience attracts about 300,000 visitors a year. The company says attendance could jump by as much as half following the overhaul.
