Couple assaulted in home invasion
Authorities say two men were waiting inside a home on the 6300-block of Summerdale Avenue late Friday night when a couple returned home from a night out.
According to reports, the suspects tied the couple up and assaulted them before fleeing around 12:30 a.m. Both victims were transported to Temple University Hospital, where the male was treated for burns from being singed with a hot iron.
The suspects were wearing ski masks.
